The Shame-Trauma Refinery: The West's Ultimate Control OS

A grand unified field theory for a class of scandals that have so far been treated piecemeal.

[I] A Universal Principle: From the Bedroom to the Border

Most people experience trauma as something private, chaotic, and raw.

I never did.

I treated mine like a system — a set of inputs, outputs, and leverage points. After regaining the memory of my childhood sexual assault at age twelve, I carried it for years not out of shame, but with the cold understanding of its strategic value. I knew that, revealed at the exact right moment, it could rewire reality: restructuring perceptions, forcing confrontation, and decisively shifting influence.

At the age of 21, I told my story only when the conditions were optimal — not for catharsis, not for sympathy, but as a calibrated release of information designed to maximize clarity and moral pressure.

The system never forgets. And neither do I.

That calculus isn’t unique to my personal story. It serves as a microcosm of the vast, recursive structures I now map: the shame-trauma refinery that powers empires, maintains hierarchies, and generates catastrophic negative externalities. My experience isn’t an anomaly — it’s a functional prototype for understanding how institutional power exploits human fragility, and how these ancient mechanisms echo across centuries, from the bedroom to the border.

Across civilizations, the most effective form of control has never been armies, markets, or laws alone. Rather than borders and boardrooms, the most pervasive influences are engineered in bedrooms, schools, and places of worship.

Western civilization holds a monopoly over the ability to manufacture shame and trauma, then refine it into leverage over both perpetrators and victims.

From Greek mentorship and Roman aristocracy, to colonial administrations weaponizing sexual violence for domination and cultural erasure, to modern elite networks that institutionalize abuse for loyalty and leverage, this “shame‑trauma refinery” has persisted as a core operating system of Western power.

According to a report commissioned by the United States Sentencing Commission, roughly 70% of CP production offenses were commited by Euro-American (white) men. This is not about individual pathology; it’s about a culture and power system that industrialized sexual violence, normalized it under the guise of mentorship/civilization, and now employs it as a tool of control. A pattern of behavior disproportionately rooted in a specific demographic group that holds the levers of global power.

This is no anomaly; it’s an easily predictable, modern output of 2,500-year-old cultural operating system.

What institutions disguise as morality, mentorship, or tradition is in fact a structural mechanism: a feedback loop that fractures communities, concentrates moral capital in the hands of the few, and stabilizes hierarchies at the expense of civilizational trust.

[II] The 2,500-Year Genealogy of Western Pederasty

Pederasty is not simply sexual deviance, but the deliberate deployment of abuse as a structural mechanism to consolidate and maintain influence.

This corrupt phenomenon is fundamentally about power, not sexual preference. Elite actors exploit children to assert control and secure compliance; sexual acts are secondary to hierarchical dominance.

In the West, this operating system has a continuous lineage.

1ST LAYER // Classical Normalization — Greek & Roman Antiquity

Pederasty, as David Bain summarizes in his review of Die griechische Knabenliebe by Harald Patzer, originally referred to “the practice whereby young men pursue pubescent boys and enter into short-term relationships with them which expire when the boy becomes a man.”

In Ancient Greece and Rome, pederasty and elite mentorship were normalized under the guise of civilization-building, embedding abuse into the social fabric while producing loyal, indoctrinated successors. These seemingly sophisticated systems framed sexual exploitation as a tool of power, not desire.

The older, more experienced erastes was the dominant male in the relationship and was in constant control of his eromenos, ensuring his position in society as powerful and masculine. The eromenos, although he was being dominated by another man, was earning respect and admiration by being taken under the wing of a respected member of Greek society. Pederasty was, based on substantial amounts of historical and mythical evidence, the most common form of both pedophilia and homosexuality at the time.

The contexts of pederastic socialization (athletics, military comradeship, hunting, cockfighting, and intellectual/musical performance at elite symposia) point toward masculinizing pedagogy and mentorship as key social functions.

Abuse served as a gatekeeping mechanism for social and political power. Elite boys who complied were integrated; those who resisted were marginalized.

The Romans would pursue sexual relationships with younger men, but these relationships were only seen as forgivable if the older man was a freeborn Roman and he was having sex with a younger slave or prostitute who wasn’t of Roman origin. [Ross]

According to Plutarch, who was born long after Greece had been incorporated into Rome, pederasty was deeply embedded in the Spartan ritual system, through a program known as agōgē: the arduous training for turning boys into soldiers. Describing life in the agōgē, Plutarch writes that shortly after the boys turned 12 years old, “they were favoured with the society of lovers from among the reputable young men.”

In the West’s pathological need to examine and study their ancestry without propoer condemnation of persisting structures, they’ve also tacitly permitted the vindication of pedophilia in modern times by organizations of men advocating for “boy love” legalization and conventionalization.

2ND LAYER // Colonial & Imperial Weaponization — 15th to 20th Century

During colonial expansion, sexual violence became a deliberate tool for domination and cultural erasure, weaponized to fracture societies and enforce hierarchies. Christopher Columbus serves as a prominent example of this systemic aberration. He and his men raped, enslaved, and murdered the Taino people upon arrival. This included selling the Taino women and girls through sex trafficking:

A hundred castellanos are as easily obtained for a woman as for a farm, and it is very general and there are plenty of dealers who go about looking for girls; those from nine to ten are now in demand. [Columbus, 2003]

These systems of malice propagated further as Spanish and other European countries colonized the Indigenous people of Central and North America.

Abuses were documented, sanctioned, or ignored to maintain authority. Those in positions of oversight leveraged shame/trauma to ensure loyalty among administrators and local collaborators, as well as fear within subjugated populations. The dark underbelly of the American Revolution is a perfect instance of leveraging loyalty to whitewash colonial impasses:

Washington’s troops put to death all the women and children, excepting some of the young women, whom they carried away for the use of their soldiers and were afterwards put to death in a more shameful manner. [Sjursen, 2018]

Pederasty (and sexualized exploitation) became a recursive control feedback loop: it created victims whose silence was coerced, and perpetrators whose compliance was ensured via mutual exposure risk.

In essence, colonization evolved the system to produce two concrete outputs: behavioral conditioning of elites and agents; long-term societal destablization through demographic terror and intergenerational trauma cycles.

3RD LAYER // Modern Elite Networks & Institutionalized Blackmail — 20th to 21st Century

Although we would like to think that the customs of Ancient Greece are buried deep in the tomb of time, pederasty isn’t behind us. As anybody with a Grindr profile can tell you, younger boys and adult men are still secretly bound up in a kind of fatal dance.

In the 20th and 21st centuries, elite networks institutionalized these patterns, from Vatican cover-ups and Jimmy Savile of the BBC to the Epstein network and intelligence-linked blackmail operations. Across centuries, the West refined this consistent mechanism of leverage: the victims are silenced; the perpetrators constrained by exposure risk; all while the moral and narrative capital remains centralized in the hands of the elite.

In creating and maintaing this network of minor victims in multiple states to sexually abuse and exploit, Jeffrey Epstein, the defendant, worked and conspired with others, including employees and associats who facilitated his conduct. [United States of America v. Jeffrey Epstein]

Sexual abuse is used as leverage over decision-makers, shaping policy, investment, military, and diplomatic behaviors. It creates the ultimate control grid: everyone is compromised, everyone is controllable.

This is neither deviance nor anomaly. It’s the core continuity engine of Western civilization: industrialized, systemic, and never-ending.

The Trump administration is under increasing pressure to release "the Epstein files" — a call that President Trump has sometimes joined, even as his own ties to Epstein come under renewed scrutiny. [NPR]

Victims and perpetrators alike are co-opted into system maintenance, ensuring the elite network perpetuates itself. The same psychological architecture that enables elite pederasty is the one that rationalizes genocide.

Sexual predation and military predation operate on identical psychological principles: dominance, dehumanization, and the weaponization of shame.

They’re not different crimes — they’re different applications of the same control software.

This isn’t a bug in Western civilization; it’s the core continuity engine. Each era refines leverage, consolidates moral/narrative capital. The same shame that silences victims also binds perpetrators to the system. It creates the ultimate control grid: everyone is compromised, everyone is controllable.

[III] A Predatory Operating System

Western pederasty is a product of systemic design. It propogates a perverse feedback loop of loyalty, secrecy, and leverage.

[IV] The Strategic Obfuscation: Deviance vs. Dominance

The West, supported by its academic and media appendages, insists on framing these acts through the lens of ‘sexual deviance’ or ‘psychological pathology’ for several calculated reasons:

  • Individualizes the Crime // A “deviant” is a broken individual. A “power-seeker” is a product of a system. By diagnosing it as a personal sickness, they contain the blast radius. It becomes a case for therapists and prison wardens, not for political scientists and historians. It protects the institution by sacrificing the individual.

  • Neuters the Historical Analysis // A “sociocultural issue” is vague and ahistorical. It allows for hand-wringing about “rape culture” without ever having to name the specific, continuous institutions that have cultivated it for millennia — from the Greek gymnasium and Roman patrician classes to the British colonial administration and the Epstein-CIA-MI6 blackmail nexus. Linking it directly to power forces the admission of an unbroken lineage.

  • Protects the Power Structure’s Legitimacy // If the driving force is recognized as the will to dominate, then it directly implicates the very nature of hierarchical, extractive power that these civilizations are built on. Consequentially, one cannot then separate the colonial governor raping a subject from the CEO exploiting an employee from the policeman brutalizing a suspect. They are all expressions of the same power over logic. To condemn one is to condemn the foundational principle of the entire system.

  • Prevents a Unified Theory of Oppression // Accepting power’s preeminent role in this process, rather than sexuality, creates a unified field theory of oppression. It connects the bedroom to the boardroom to the battlefield. It shows that the logic used to violate a child’s body is the same logic used to violate a nation’s sovereignty. This connection is painfully visible with Israel-Gaza: the same impulse to dominate and erase. Admitting this creates a philosophical and moral coherence among all resistance movements, which is the empire’s worst nightmare.

Sociology’s understanding of “accounts” provides an empirical lens through which we can understand the underlying tactics found in Western obfuscation strategy. A pederasty-based conceptualization of this idea can be found in Professor Keith Durbin’s “Propagandizing pederasty: A thematic analysis of the on-line exculpatory accounts of unrepentant pedophiles” (North Ohio University, 1999). First advanced by Marvin Scott and Stanford Lyman, accounts are ‘‘socially approved vocabularies that neutralize an act or its consequences when one or both are called into question’’. There are two categories of accounts: excuses and justification.

Excuses entail acknowledging that the act in question was wrong, yet deny complete responsibility for that act. On the other hand, justifications acknowledge responsibility for the act, but also deny the pejorative qualities typically associated with that act. These are important tools for whitewashing domination.

The guilt that individuals will feel after being told that what they did was wrong or that they themselves are bad can be destructive of social identity. Justifications and excuses neutralize guilt and enable individuals to feel good about themselves.

Durbin asserts the strategic nature of accounts: they are a type of impression management technique that protects the social identity of a deviant in the event of potential societal disvaluement. This mechanism isn’t exclusive to individuals. Rather than protection of a singular “social identity,” the Western order employs excuses and justifications to protect its structural legitimacy.

America’s insistence that Epstein’s actions do not reflect the wider tendencies of elites? The snail-pace release of the Epstein files? Excuse.

The consistent portrayal of colonial-age sex trafficking and violences committed from slavery to the Jim Crow era as ‘past problems’ rather than corruptions influencing modern-day institutions. Justification.

The “Why” Behind the Obfuscation

By keeping the conversation on deviance, the system achieves two supreme victories:

  • It maintains the monopoly on defining morality // It can pose as the healer, the judge, and the civilized counter-force to the savagery of its own outcasts.

  • It prevents the diagnosis from ever reaching the terminal stage // The system is happy to treat the blemishes (the “bad apples”) if it means we never diagnose the metastatic cancer (the power-based civilizational OS).

The moment we reframe it as a “technology of power,” the entire conversation shifts. It moves from a question of “What’s wrong with these people?” to “What is it about this system that produces and protects this specific method of control?”

Shame, secrecy, leverage… these are scale-invariant mechanisms.They operate identically in a predator’s mind, a corporation’s HR department, a intelligence agency’s blackmail protocols, and a empire’s foreign policy.

A fractal pattern.

This is the true crux of the issue; capable of exposing the operating system’s source code. We must replace their chosen frame of ‘pathology’ with the correct frame of “applied political science.”

The refinery doesn’t just run on shame and trauma. It runs on the deliberate mislabeling of its core fuel: pretending it’s about sex to hide that it’s about power.

The entire civilizational project is pathologically wired for predation. To accept my analysis is to accept that the entire moral foundation of the West's 'rules-based international order' is a grotesque lie.

The ultimate irony: this system is maintained in the name of civilization and moral authority. It is both the engine of hierarchical control and a self-destruct mechanism that generates cascading societal inefficiencies.

[IV] The Economic Drag of the Shame-Trauma Refinery

Conventional analysis of systemic abuse focuses on the moral failure. This misses the larger, more damning point: it represents a profound systems failure with severe, recursive economic costs.

The dominant, linear perspective towards Western pederasty is dangerously simplistic:

  • Perpetrator // Gains a short-term sense of gratification, dominance, and impunity.

  • Institutional Observer //  Gains leverage and control (i.e., blackmailing and/or complicit organization).

  • Victim // Bears the cost of suffered trauma. Treated as an isolated, contained liability.

At first glance, institutions assume net drag is generally limited to suffering of the victim and their family. This short-term view is not just amoral; it is mathematically and strategically unsound. The reality is a recursive system that generates massive, cascading negative externalities, creating hidden costs on organizational and societal capital.

The Macroeconomic Impact: A Self-Defeating Feedback Loop

Whether public or private, this “shame-trauma refinery” is a net-negative engine. It systematically:

  • Degrades Human Capital // It disables some of the most sensitive and potentially brilliant minds, reducing the overall pool of talent, trust, and collaborative potential in a society.

  • Introduces Systemic Inefficiency // It promotes leaders based on a pathology of domination rather than competence, leading to strategic blunders and misallocated resources. Leadership quality erodes as perpetrators’ distorted perspectives guide decisions.

  • Creates Perverse Incentives // It rewards institutions for hoarding power through destructive, rather than productive, means. Networks of power become increasingly brittle, dependent on secrets rather than trust. Society begins to prioritize concealment and leverage over merit and efficiency.

A 1999 Report by the Child Research Protection Group at the University of South Australia illustrates a powerful argument for Western society’s underestimation of pederasty’s economic damage. Furthermore, the study explicitly states “true cost is underestimated” — meaning the system is designed to hide its own economic impact. This isn’t ignorance; it’s strategic obfuscation.

This isn’t about individual crimes — it’s about systemic economic warfare. The University of South Australia study reveals the shame-trauma refinery operates as a permanent negative externality machine, imposing $20,000 in tangible costs and $20,000 in intangible costs per victim (~$80K in 2025). And while my scenario-based framework attempts to exhaustively conceptualize all recursive shocks involved in the pederastic process, the true burden is exponentially higher due to deliberate undercounting.

The Recursive Cost Structure

Just as the abuse itself creates recursive trauma cycles, the economic costs compound through:

  • Recidivism Multipliers // Each untreated offender creates cascading victims ($62k to $416k net benefit for Australia per 100 treated prisoners; given 6-8% recidivism reduction and a conservative valuation of intangibles)

  • Generational Transmission // Trauma begets trauma across decades

  • Systemic Inefficiency // Justice, healthcare, and social services drained

When a society spends $41.4M annually (South Australia, 1995/96) managing the symptoms of abuse while systematically undercounting the true cost, it’s not failing to solve the problem — it’s profitably managing the consequences. The shame-trauma refinery isn’t a bug in Western civilization; it’s a feature of its economic model.

The findings of this exploratory work suggest that despite the difficulties posed by lack of data, reasonable cost-benefit estimates suggest the magnitude of the problem of child sexual abuse generally, along with the rate of offending by recidivists, inflicts significant tangible and intangible (psychological suffering and long-term health issues) costs on victims and their families.

The Bottom Line

CSA is not a scandal. It is a permanent line-item in the Western budget: a civilization built on amortizing human ruin.

Framing this as merely a ‘social issue’ is a catastrophic misdiagnosis. It is a core governance issue and inherently economically self-defeating. The pederasty-based power system is not merely corrupt; it is an obsolete, high-liability operating system that recursively erodes the very capital — human, social, and institutional — that it claims to control.

The shame-trauma refinery’s most brilliant feature isn’t its longevity, but rather its accounting fraud: creating generational economic devastation while making the costs disappear from public consciousness, ensuring the machine can continue operating indefinitely.

Civilizations that fail to debug this recursive cost loop are not just morally bankrupt; they are willfully operating at a catastrophic strategic deficit. The system isn’t just evil. It’s bad business.

[V] Case Study: The America-Israel Complex as Apex Implementation

In Israel, this operating system reaches its most potent expression. Unlike other historical instances, it functions atop a state that claims unparalleled moral authority while simultaneously engaging in structural violence, including mass atrocities in Gaza.

Israel is becoming a safe haven for paedophiles due to the unique opportunity available to all Jews from anywhere in the world to immigrate there. This provides a relatively efficient and effective way to evade justice from other countries.

Internally, cycles of abuse fracture communities, isolate victims, and create leverage over political and military actors.

Externally, the narrative of victimhood and survival as a ‘chosen people’ shields systemic predation from scrutiny.

The combination of ongoing abuse with the moral exceptionalism narrative produces an apex feedback loop: control, impunity, and leverage reinforce one another, making it a case study in the operationalization of the West’s shame-trauma refinery at a civilizational scale.

Nearly 90% of sexual offense cases involving Israeli army officers were initially opened but subsequently closed without charges (Middle East Monitor, 2022). And a third of Israeli women in the IDF were sexually harassed in 2021. 1542 sexual assault complaints, yet only 31 indictments were filed. This nefarious dynamic is further accentuated by the eroticization and objectification of female IDF soldiers through a propaganda-based phenomenon coined “Combat Cuties,” traced back to the early 2000s. These uncouth tactics are also employed by the Israeli government as a tool of public diplomacy.

Furthermore, according to an Israeli pedophile monitoring association (Matzof Association) in 2020, tens of thousands of pedophiles operate in Israel every year, leading to about 100,000 victims annually. The Association of Rape Crisis Centers in Israel received 17,484 new complaints of incidents of sex offenses in 2023, but just 6,405 cases of sex offenses and sexual harassment were opened by police. The most common type of offense ARCCI complaints were made about was incest, representing 36% of all complaints.

A recent instance of systemic failure: Tom Artiom Alexandrovich, a senior cybersecurity official with the Israeli government, was one of eight people arrested as part of a multi-week operation by Nevada and federal authorities targeting child sex predators. Despite being charged with luring a 15-year-old child for a sex act, his lawyers managed a priveleged agreement with the Las Vegas district attorney’s office: an in-person court appearance was not required of Alexandrovich. This peculiar discrepancy was all the leeway necessary for the Jewish predator to escape accountability by fleeing to Israel (Council on American-Islamic Relations). This is no deviant outlier. According to a 2017 article by The Independent, The Jewish Community Watch says 32 paedophiles moved from countries around the world to Israel over past decade.

Jerusalem holds the most dangerous evolution of the Western pederasty OS: moral exceptionalism weaponized to enable both systemic abuse and genocide.

In Israel, their control architecture compounds abuse through the state’s structural and ideological operations. In America (a magnified reflection of the Israeli settler-colonial state), bipartisanship ensures elite continuity across scandals; they maintain secrecy over abuse to preserve structural leverage. Of approximately 194,164 child abuse perpetrators (including sexual abuse) in the U.S., the majority were white (NCANDS, 2022).

It’s important to understand real-world comparisons in order to properly contextualize the highly barbarous nature of this unfolding system. Catholicism has its abuse legacy, but its peak moral authority is centuries gone. Islam is a common ‘whataboutism’ target for Westerners wherein they ignorantly parrot the ’72 virgins’ Quran myth. Interestingly, this consistent and unsubstantiated villification by the West only underscores Islam’s lack of a shame-trauma OS. But Israel uniquely combines ongoing mass violence with ‘untouchable victim’ status. This isn’t just another abusive society — it’s the West’s control OS operating at maximum efficiency and minimum accountability.

[VI] Strategic Implications

By mapping pederasty as a structural instrument, observers develop:

  • Predictive Power // Framing abuse as power-first allows one to anticipate patterns across institutions and eras.

  • Narrative Discernment // Understand elite behavior beyond partisan or ideological lines, uncovering any attempts at strategic obfuscation.

  • Governance Diagnostics // Propose systemic reforms rather than relying solely on individual accountability.

[VII] An Anti-Fragile Civilization: Trinary Mechanisms of Immunity

Trinary, recursive frameworks are immune to this control OS because they’re built on different first principles:

1ST MECHANISM // Transparency Protocols
  • Indigenous justice systems that air conflicts rather than bury them

  • Community accountability vs. institutional cover-up

  • No shame-trauma refinery because there’s nothing to refine

2ND MECHANISM // Child-Centric Architectures
  • Namibia’s education-land trust integration

  • Ubuntu philosophy: “It takes a village” as operational reality

  • Children as collective responsibility, not private property

3RD MECHANISM // Recursive Trust Networks
  • Systems that self-correct rather than self-conceal

  • Remove blackmail economies by de-fanging secret weaponization

  • Moral capital earned through consistency, not claimed through exception

The West’s control OS depends on fractured individuals and compartmentalized institutions. Trinary civilizations operate as integrated systems where personal integrity and geopolitical integrity are the same thing; a recursive form of governance that circumvents direct (e.g. Israel) or indirect (e.g. Gaza) interactions with the shame-trauma refinery loop. One cannot run pederasty software on a recursion-based operating system.

[VIII] A Call to Action

This isn’t about exposing more scandals. It’s about recognizing that we’re dealing with a 2,500-year-old control system that has reached its terminal evolutionary stage. The choice isn’t between different flavors of civilization — it’s between civilizations that can be corrupted by this OS, and those that are architecturally immune.

Pederasty is not a scandal to be sensationalized; it’s a civilizational-level feedback loop. Framing it as power architecture clarifies historical continuity and contemporary stakes.

This lens allows Global South actors, policymakers, and analysts to see the true logic behind institutional secrecy and elite cohesion.
